Bombing-tine's day

Valentine's day once again, where love is almost everywhere. While I, I was on my first week of nesting period (still part of the training as well.) but this time it turned to be a different one. Right after our shift, one of my colleagues at work, told us that a bus from Ayala has been exploded. Bombing on the day of hearts? We thought it was in Ayala Avenue, the incident happened at Edsa-Ayala(near SM Makati). We usually wait buses from the site of incident, good thing is we're on a night shift, and that incident happened around daytime. Thank heavens were saved! If we are the ones who have waited for a bus from the site of the said incident, probably we're included from that explosion. Whew!!!

Fish Cracker yuckyyyyy!!!

I woke up late today, it was already 10 am, when i saw my dad watching late morning news. I went to bathroom for some "morning rituals" . When i'm approaching to the dining area, suddenly dad called me up , "hey Rich tingnan mo" it was an expose of manufacturing fish crackers somewhere in Valenzuela, it was a Chinese-owned factory wherein the warehouse looks like a junkshop. Makikita mo 'yung kneading table, as in grabe! , ang moldy and roaches are crawling on it. Then drums of fish sauce(patis) may mga nag-flo-float na patay na ipis at butiki na sinasala lang...(imagine 'yung amoy ng patay na butiki at ipis sa patis; YUCK ! STIINKSS!!!)

Anyways, aside from the smelly fish sauce , which makes the flavor of the said fish cracker, for more appetizing appeareance, nilalagyan nila ng red food color. In addition to that , meron ding BORAX , which is commonly used for soap-manufacturing , and its really, really hazardous for human consumption.

Before packaging , fish crackers were dried on the ground na walang malinis na sapin (kahit sako or plastic trays), then they used rustic rakes eeeeeeewwwwwwwww!!! and the worst thing is inaapakan lang at may dumadaang daga na nanggaling pa sa canal. ulk!

After watching the said expose nawalan na tuloy ako ng ganang mag-almusal...

Everytime i see people buying fish crackers from street vendors , bus stops/terminals in Manila, i want to discourage them from eating on it.

How i wish they're aware of how it is processed . At sa lahat ng mahilig mag-fish crackers 'dyan, ewan...basta maging conscious lang tayo sa sanitation ng mga kinakain natin.
