Here are some of my vivid collection of memories about my childhood days, and I want it to share it with you.
Late afternoon nap- One of the things i really hate, we are forced by our parents to sleep in the afternoon so that we would easily grow up. If we don't, we will get our mom's "magic wand" (you know what i mean)
Hide and seek- hilig laruin ng mga playmates ko (nakikisali rin ako! ha! ha!) , especially, when the sun starts to settle down. Pagalingan kami sa pagtatago, 'wag lang maging taya. Kapag nahuli, paunahan sa saaaavvvvveeee!!!!!!!
Spooky stories with our "kapitbahays" - minsan kapag nag-gather ang mga moms, sa house namin for a chat, they usually talk about life, current events and sometimes eerie stories about our former residence. Dami kasing kwento especially about the "poso" and the "Sampaloc tree". Even my mom experienced the same thing as well. (Awoooo!!!!)
Tree climbing- I loved to climb trees when I was a kid. I usually climb trees just to pick a fruit kahit hilaw at hindi
makain. Because I was fascinated with the fruits kahit bubot pa!
C-h-o-c-o-l-a-t-e! - sino ba naman ang may ayaw sa chocolate? Instead of giving us a star for doing well at quizzes or exams, we are usually rewarded with a bar of chocolate. (yum! yum!)
Voice lessons - I took up my very first voice lessons when I was at sixth grade. It all started, when i did passed the audition for our school chorale. Every Tuesdays, after the class , i usually went to our music room for a voice lessons, and sometimes for our rehearsals as well. (mihihihiyahahahaha---------haaaaaaaaaaaahh)
Mysterious Granny in Black- I usually saw this old lady in a black poncho every afternoon, and always asks me if I wanted to stroll with her (kahit may kasama 'syang bata) in terror i would always ran to my mom. Even the name or the appearance of that old lady in black was so unfamiliar with our neighbors as well. (mysterious talaga!)
Can I court you? - one of my so-called traumatic experience when I was in grade school. Our school service driver always picks us up after class, 'nung ma-late akong lumabas ng classroom, he brought my heavy bag (bigat kasi!). While we're on our way to the service he told me over and over again that: " pag laki mo liligawan kita" (yikes! nanay ko po! takot ako! ayaw ko nang magpahatid!)
"Over the bakod"- During my childhood days when I arrived home from school and no one's at home to open the gate for me, and our gate is too high for me to reach (kasi po bulilit pa ako noon). I'll just climbed first our picket fenced garden outside the driveway, then to the trees, sa "bakod" and then finally landed to the ground. Whew!
